All applicants are required to have or create an account to complete and submit your application.  Keep your user name and password handy so that you can "save a draft" and return to complete your submission.  Also this user name and password will continue to be used for agency reporting and future applications.

  • LOGIN HERE (If you already have a user name and password)
  • CREATE AN ACCOUNT (New users only - Recommend using your Agency Name as your User Name - watch for an email to set your password, check spam)
  • RESET YOUR PASSWORD (if your email has been used previously, you can reset your password)
  • LOGOUT (Be sure to log out once you have saved your draft or submitted your application)

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Do not leave any blanks; enter N/A if not applicable.

NOTE: Do not use Internet Explorer when submitting your application!

Be sure to click "SAVE DRAFT" frequently, you will be able to return and work on the application as time permits. Be sure to click "SUBMIT" when completed, you will not be able to access completed submission, but you will be sent a copy of your submission.

 


SCOPE AND NATURE OF REQUEST FOR FUNDING

United Way of Henderson County is dedicated to fostering a healthy, thriving community through collaboration and strategic investment. Our funding supports system-wide changes that produce measurable results in four key areas: Education, Health, Financial Stability, and Workforce Development.

Funding for this grant cycle comes from contributions by local businesses and community members. Programs seeking funding must demonstrate measurable impact, financial responsibility, and alignment with United Way’s mission.

Funding Priorities: 

  • Education: Supporting children from birth through graduation to reach key academic milestones, ensuring long-term success.
  • Health: Expanding access to essential healthcare, mental health support, and basic needs to improve overall well-being for individuals and families.
  • Financial Stability: Providing resources, financial education, and support to help individuals and families achieve lasting economic independence.
  • Workforce Development: Equipping individuals with job training, career skills, and resources to secure stable, high-paying employment and strengthen the local workforce.

Evaluation Criteria: 

Funding decisions will be based on:

  • The need for services in Henderson County
  • The impact on Henderson County residents
  • Collaboration opportunities with other organizations
  • The ability to secure additional funding
  • The potential for measurable outcomes and results
  • Alignment with United Way’s mission and goals
  • Funds available from the current United Way campaign

Review Process and Selection Criteria

Application Review

Applications undergo a thorough review by United Way’s Community Investment Team, composed of local volunteers with expertise in key issue areas. The review process includes:

  1. Initial Review: Ensuring applications are complete and meet submission requirements.
  2. Community Investment Panel Evaluation (April 28 – May 7): A panel of community volunteers assesses applications based on established criteria. Applicants may also be required to participate in site visits or interviews.
  3. Grant Negotiations: United Way may request modifications, additional information, or amendments before funding is approved.

Final funding recommendations will be submitted to the United Way of Henderson County Board of Directors for approval.

Funding Cycle

  • Grant Period: July 1, 2025 – June 30, 2026 (Annual cycle)
  • Disbursements: Quarterly payments, with the 4th quarter adjusted based on campaign pledge collections

All funded organizations must adhere to United Way of Henderson County’s Standards of Affiliation and Financial Reporting Requirements. Non-compliance may result in funding withdrawal.

Application Deadline

The 2025 United Way of Henderson County Grant Application closes at 5:00 PM on April 18, 2025. No late applications will be considered.
