All applicants are required to have or create an account to complete and submit your application.  Keep your user name and password handy so that you can "save a draft" and return to complete your submission.  Also this user name and password will continue to be used for agency reporting and future applications.

  • CREATE AN ACCOUNT (New users only - Recommend using your Agency Name as your User Name - watch for an email to set your password, check spam)
  • RESET YOUR PASSWORD (if your email has been used previously, you can reset your password)
  • LOGOUT (Be sure to log out once you have saved your draft or submitted your application)

Incomplete applications will not be accepted.  Do not leave any blanks; enter N/A if not applicable.

NOTE: Do not use Internet Explorer when submitting your application!

Be sure to click "SAVE DRAFT" frequently, you will be able to return and work on the application as time permits. Be sure to click "SUBMIT" when completed, you will not be able to access completed submission, but you will be sent a copy of your submission.

 


2025 City/County Event Grant Overview

The City of Henderson and Henderson County recognize the significant role that local festivals and cultural events play in building community, promoting tourism, and enhancing quality of life. A separate Event Grant Application is available for organizations seeking funding to support public events in 2025.

Please Note: This application is intended only for event-based funding. It should not be used for programmatic, operational, or service-focused requests.

  • Application Opens: March 31, 2025

  • Application Deadline: May 5, 2025 at 5:00 PM (CT)


    Late submissions will not be considered.


Purpose of Event Funding

Event grants are intended to support publicly accessible events that:

  • Celebrate local arts, music, culture, or history

  • Provide free or low-cost access to the community

  • Attract tourism and stimulate economic activity

  • Promote diversity, inclusion, and community pride

Note: Religious services, private events, or events not open to the general public are not eligible for funding.


Funding Details

  • Applicants may request up to $15,000 from either the City, the County, or a combination of both.

  • The maximum combined request is $30,000 per event.


Review & Award Process

  • Applications will be reviewed by the City/County Allocations Review Team, composed of representatives appointed by each entity.

  • Award notifications will be issued in June 2025.

  • Funding will be distributed in July/August, unless otherwise specified at the time of award.


Event Reporting Requirements

Organizations receiving funding will be required to complete a separate Event Reporting Form by January 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM (CT).

The report will include:

  • Estimated attendance and audience reach

  • Volunteer participation and hours

  • Demographics of attendees (if available)

  • Use of funds and financial summary

  • Promotional materials and media coverage

Failure to submit a complete report by the deadline will result in ineligibility for future event grant funding.


If your event occurs after January 23, 2026, you must request a report deferment for alternative financial reporting once the event is completed.
